Going to the opticians in the Netherlands is very easy. You can often just walk in and get an eye exam, but it’s a better idea to book one in advance and be sure. An opticians appointment in the Netherlands is nearly always free.

A typical eye test may not be as in depth as those that you’re used to in your home country (certainly that was the case for me coming from England). It’s quick and friendly but feels more like part of the sales process than a health check.
